2016 AMSCA Scholarships
In 2016, three AMSCA Scholarships were awarded, as follows:
MAJ David Robbins, a physical therapist, was awarded $2000 for research to determine the relationships between habitual behavior (daily weight bearing activity and sleep) and changes in quadriceps strength.
CPT Joshua Radi, a physician assistant in the Army National Guard, was awarded $1828 to pursue his research of the combat medic in his medical preparedness when deployed overseas.
LT Jennifer Lopera, a dietitian, was awarded $755 for her research which will characterize food insecurity in a sample of active duty members and will describe environmental associations of food insecurity, weight status and diet quality.
